SCAN -- Find a subscriber

   If you need to send an OFF LIST message to a Hound, but don't
know his e-mail address, you can use the REVIEW command to get a
list of all subscribers.  A better approach would be to send
this command to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KENT.EDU:
   
SCAN HOUNDS-L substring
 
where substring can be any portion of the user's name or email
address.  For example, either command 
SCAN HOUNDS-L Les          or
SCAN HOUNDS-L LMosk
will return the following:

>> scan hounds-l lmosk
> Les Moskowitz {lmoskowi@MAIL.BCPL.LIB.MD.US>
> SCAN: One match, 4 concealed entries not examined.
