The Return of Enola Holmes

Fans of Enola Holmes will be happy to hear that the young detective is back and better than ever.

The Netflix original film Enola Holmes came out in September of 2020 featuring Millie Bobby Brown (of Stranger Things fame) as the titular antagonist and was extremely well-received. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic,  the fresh twist in the Holmes universe with a well-rounded cast was welcomed. The film was based on the first book in the Enola Holmes Mysteries series by Nancy Springer, The Case of the Missing Marquess, and saw Enola searching for her disappeared mother, helping the young Viscount Tewkesbury sort out his own problems along the way.

A sequel film was announced in May 2021, with Brown once again bringing the lovely Enola to life. Henry Cavill is also slated to return to his role as the famed Sherlock Holmes.

The newest addition to the Enola Holmes Mysteries series, Enola Holmes and the Black Barouche, was released August 31st, 2021. This time, the sister of the famous detective sets to work tracking down the long-lost twin sister of Miss Letitia Glover– who may or may not be dead. Enola will take on a suspicious sudden death and a dubious death certificate, all while undercover in an unfamiliar land– in express opposition to her brother, Sherlock’s, wishes.

The Black Barouche is the first extension to the series since 2010.
